1 kilo white grapes seedless, the Sultanina variety is ideal for this recipe 500 grams sugar (if grapes are sour add an extra 150 grams) 1 cup water ½ lemon juice A bunch arbaroriza leaves (also known as Greek or apple geranium, alternatively, this ingredient can be replaced by 200 grams of apple juice).
Get two glass jars ready, or sterilize two glass jars before starting the recipe. Set them aside.
Wash and drain the seedless white grapes and set them aside.I
In a large pot, add the water and sugar and cook until the sugar dissolves, the process can take from 5 to 10 minutes.
Add the grapes and arbaroriza leaves or the apple juice and lower the heat.
Cook for 35 to 40 minutes, stirring consistently and removing the foam that forms on top with a spoon.
Five minutes before ending the cooking process, add the lemon juice and remove from the flame.
When it slightly cools down, add to the jars. Place the lids, close them tight, and keep them upside down until they cool completely.
Whenever you are preparing spoon sweets, keep in mind that the quantity of sugar usually equals half the weight of the fruit you will use.
Store in the pantry, and once the jar has been opened, you can also keep it in the fridge.
