Ingredients for This Recipe

To make the mousse, you will need a cup of Greek yogurt (preferably full-fat for a creamier texture), a good quality dark chocolate, some vanilla extract and honey, a pinch of sea salt, and a few extras for garnish, including berries or whipped cream. All the quantities are in the recipe card below.

How to Make the Mousse

Melt the chocolate:

Start by breaking the dark chocolate into small pieces and melting it. You can do this by either using a microwave in 20-second intervals or by melting it in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method). Stir until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted, then remove it from the heat.

Mix the Greek yogurt and vanilla, and sweeten the mousse:

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt with the vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and well-blended.

Add the honey to the yogurt mixture. You can adjust the amount of honey depending on how sweet you like your mousse. Stir everything together until fully incorporated.

Combine the melted chocolate and yogurt mixture:

Slowly pour the melted chocolate into the Greek yogurt mixture, stirring gently as you go. Continue mixing until the chocolate is completely blended with the yogurt. Add a pinch of sea salt if you’d like a more intense chocolate flavor.

Chill the mousse:

Once the mousse is smooth and well-mixed, transfer it to serving glasses or bowls.

Place the mousse in the fridge and chill for at least 2 hours to allow it to set and develop its rich flavor.

Serve and enjoy:
After the mousse has chilled, it’s ready to be served! You can garnish it with whipped cream, fresh berries, a sprinkle of cocoa powder, or some chopped nuts for added texture and flavor.
